Book Sales

When are FOPAL’s book sales?

Our monthly sales are typically the second full weekend of every month.


WheRE are FOPAL’s book sales?

We are located at Cubberley Community Center, 4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto CA 94303. We have three sale rooms — our Main Room, Bargain Room, and Children’s Room.


Donating

What items does FOPAL accept?

We gladly accept books, commercial CDs and DVDs, games, puzzles, and software. View our full list of what we can (and cannot) accept.


When and where does FOPAL accept donations?

FOPAL is open for drop-off donations of up to 6 boxes or bags, no appointment needed, most weeks on Monday-Saturday, 3-5pm at our Main Room, Cubberley Community Center, 4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto CA. Donations are not accepted the week preceding the sale or on most holidays.


How do I make a large donation?

If you have a large donation (7 or more boxes or bags), please email volunteerdir@fopal.org or call us at (650) 308-8469 to leave a message and make an appointment for you to deliver your donation.


Can you pick up my donation?

Our volunteers are able to pick up some larger donations from Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Stanford, Atherton, Woodside, or Mountain View, CA. Lead time is a minimum of one week, depending on availability.


Are donations tax deductible?

FOPAL is a non-profit organization. Your donations are tax-deductible, and a volunteer can provide a receipt.
